Om Samaj Dental Hospital conducts health and yoga camps at two locations on the same day Kathmandu

Rajan Thapa Embracing the objectives of social service, health awareness and human service, Om Samaj Dental Hospital has conducted health and yoga camps at two different locations on the same day. The program, which was conducted with the aim of providing health services at the community level, has spread a positive message among the local citizens and has spread awareness about health.
Yoga instructors participating in the large-scale yoga camp organized in collaboration with Chandragiri Municipality said that regular yoga practice makes the body healthy, the mind positive and life disciplined. The participants in the program also shared their experiences that yoga is not just a physical exercise but also an important basis for spiritual peace, mental balance and a healthy life. Information on various yoga practices, meditation and healthy lifestyle was provided with the aim of spreading health awareness in the program.
Similarly, a one-day free health and dental camp has been conducted at Pavitra Dham Badri Narayan, Nagarjuna-7, Bhimdhunga Ramkot, under the joint organization of Om Samaj Dental Hospital and M.N. Hospital. The camp, which was organized under the special management of Dham General Secretary Binod Dhakal, saw enthusiastic participation from local residents.


A team of doctors from M.N. Hospital led by Dr. Binod Kadel provided health services in the camp, while a team of dentists led by Banasthali Branch Chief Sabina Papan Gurung provided dental check-ups and consultation services. Through the camp, the service recipients received free health check-ups, dental check-ups, necessary consultation and health-related information.
Dr. Diksha Chaudhary and Assistant Christina Thapa Magar actively participated in the program. Similarly, the camp was effectively conducted at two different locations with the collaboration of Dr. Sophia Raut, Dr. Seema Yadav and Assistant Junu Pandit. Another team led by NAIKAP Branch Chief Anjana Khadka successfully carried out the responsibility of health service management and coordination.
Social activist Prakash Kunwar says,
“There is a lot of publicity in the name of serving the society, but there are few organizations that work in practice. Om Samaj Dental Hospital has set an example of humanity by providing direct service, not speeches.”
Banasthali branch chief Sabina Papan Gurung said that health services should not be limited to hospitals only and expressed satisfaction at being able to reach the community and provide services. She expressed confidence that such camps would be effective in increasing public awareness about dental health and said that such programs would be continued in the coming days as part of social responsibility.
Similarly, NAIKAP branch chief Anjana Khadka said that although it was challenging to run the program in two different places on the same day, the program was successful due to the hard work, coordination and service spirit of the entire team. She said that the participation and trust of local citizens have inspired her to expand social services more effectively in the coming days.
Social activist journalist Rajan Thapa said that such programs are very necessary in a society where many citizens are still deprived of basic health services. He stated that hospitals should not be just commercial centers but should be a campaign for human service, and expressed the view that the service provided by Om Samaj Dental Hospital by reaching out to the society is exemplary. “Bringing health and yoga to the masses is not just a treatment, but a campaign to build a healthy and conscious society,” he said. “This program has set an example that social change is possible not through speeches, but through practical service.”
According to the organizing organization, such programs have been conducted with the aim of increasing health awareness in the society and providing services to the economically weak and those who are far from health services. Locals and social workers openly praised Om Samaj Dental Hospital’s social service-oriented campaign.
It is believed that these programs, which were conducted with the message that “Yoga, health and human service are the basis for building a healthy society,” have further strengthened positive energy, social unity and service spirit in the community.
